Strange Girls
Rona Mark | Featured, Features
Loved it, although I was unexpectedly more disturbed than I thought I'd be. Definitely the kind of movie you can spend the rest of your day thinking about (which can sometimes totally f$#% up your day), and I've spent the last month thinking : if you ever, as a child, grew up around identical twins, this movie hits their behavior eeeeerily on the head. The two leads in this (Virginia and Georgia) exist in a separate world that THEY, while they find the rest of us humans a momentary curiosity, are the only ones who can truly inhabit. In the end, you actually don't want the Girls ever to be apart. Sort of. You also don't want EVER to wake up with them kneeling over, your head secured to the floor while they wield a cruel metal instrument toward your mouth that looks ike some kind of dental--- ---eh...it's too distressing, you'll simply have to see it to understand.
