On Tuesday night at The CHAC Bronze Fawn will show you why The Stranger and The Portland Mercury have raved about these locals. Cinematic soundscapes ranging from quiet and pretty to loud and intense, there is a sheer uplifting feeling about their music that cannot be denied. The Animals at Night will be getting their freak on, so to speak. This Seattle electronic duo’s live show has been called, “dreamy, expansive, and more than a little psychedelic” by The Stranger. They cut in samples, weave them into their warped beats, and make it unbelievably fun. In other words, a must see. Also Tuesday night will be Yokai No Uta Trio. Experimenting with lush atmospherics and pulling in sounds from every genre known to man, they set a perfect backdrop for any show. There are many sides to them, and I bet we see them all. Thank you to all of the musical acts for making STIFF 2008 the best yet, and thank you to all of you film and music lovers for making it all happen.
